Some of these are still a bit sparse I know.

28/8/2008 - 3:21 pm : Too many Monkeys’ Marillion video gets press attention

lookit!

27/8/2008 - 1:22 pm : Whatever Is Wrong With You

Made for a competition where the video with the most views wins, so tell all your little friends.

3/6/2008 - 11:03 am : Spreading Germs

Our latest naff film has gone on line at Virgin media Shorts where it’s in for some sort of a competition. Go, watch it, rate it, leave comments (especially ‘naff’), all that jazz.

25/4/2008 - 12:12 pm : 48hr Film

10/4/2008 - 9:17 am : sightings of Duncan

His directorness himself, Duncan “Gwyneth” Bowles, can be seen bravely not crying on a sci-fi London video which is here.

7/4/2008 - 10:57 am : 48hr thing

Just had a call from Duncan and the finished 48hr movie has been handed in. Huge thank you to everyone who helped.

5/4/2008 - 6:16 pm : 48hr thing - update

Script is written, and is being read as I type (eep!) - a plan will soon be formed.

It’s all about how evil facebook is.

28/3/2008 - 12:26 pm : The Sci-Fi London 48hr Film Challenge.

It was the Sci-Fi London competition of 2003 that first formed Too Many Monkeys, which we then won in 2004, so now it’s time to give it another go…

It starts at 12pm on Saturday 5th April and the final film, which has to be 3-5 minutes long, has to be handed over by 12pm on Monday 7th April. It’s a chance for all monkeys, past, present and future to get involved, as all the info for the film will be handed over on the Saturday morning (title, subgenre, character etc.), so we have no clue which direction the film will have to take.

Full details are here

I’ve booked a lighting kit, got camera tapes and will book various locations at St Mary’s just in case. The plan as it stands is for me (Duncan) to pick up the info, then meet amongst others, Dan, Freck and Helen back in Twickenham, to bash out a script asap. After that… who knows?

Hopefully time travelling Edwardian zombie hunters. With tinfoil accesories.

The rough plan is that anyone wanting to act for us be prepared to hit Twickenham around 3/4ish and then we’ll plough into filming asap. Hopefully this will leave Sunday free for post production/nervous breakdowns.

There’s a facebook event thingy here.

22/1/2008 - 11:07 pm : t-shirts are go

Yes, it’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for. Too Many Monkeys t-shirts are now available to buy at a very reasonable price.

A Too Many Monkeys t-shirt not only advertises your unswerving loyalty to London’s premier zero-budget film makers but is sartorially elegant to boot. They make excellent formal wear, casual wear, or even night wear; and are sure to get you laid*. Too many monkeys guarantee that any money made by the sale of t-shirts will only go to drinking beer on the set of future films - so far we’re up to about one tin of skol.

(* in fact, so sure are Too Many Monkeys that these t-shirts will attract members of the opposite sex, that if you have not got your rocks off six months after buying one we will let you sleep with Rob)

12/11/2007 - 11:01 pm : Monkey meets George Romero

Monkey meets George Romero, George Romero meets Monkey

18/10/2007 - 10:10 am : Canadian TV

We were on Canandian TV, apparently, none of us saw it (any Canadians out there?)

- 9:42 am : Working Late II

The first draft of a Working Late sequel script was completed last night

6/8/2007 - 1:23 pm : Wrap!

All filming on Chameleon’s Colour is now complete.

15/7/2007 - 10:33 pm : facebook

We are now on facebook (let nobody say Too Many Monkeys don’t slavishly follow the zeitgeist), for those also on facebook here is the link, for those not on facebook (heathens), that will be no use to you at all.

11/4/2007 - 9:33 am : Chameleon’s Colour Filming (at last)

Over a year after we first started work on it some solid filming was (finally) done on Chameleon’s Colour on Monday at St. Mary’s and last night at my house. Featuring costumes, toy guns, lights, smoke, and some world class acting from Matt and Tammy; it was just like a real movie. Pictures up on Flickr now.

25/3/2007 - 10:23 pm : Toy guns!

8/2/2007 - 6:17 pm : myspace

The Too Many Monkeys myspace page has moved to here. The old myspace page has become Duncan’s own so that he can use it to stalk innocent American girls.

myspace is the latest thing, all the cool kids hang out there.

(I don’t)

24/12/2006 - 1:47 pm : A Chameleon’s Trailer

This shouldn’t be interpreted as evidence of activity.

9/10/2006 - 2:51 pm : Working Late

Do you know, that bastard Duncan didn’t even tell me he had posted Working Late to youtube and I only found out when some random internet person got in touch. Anyway, here it is, in three parts.
